CHC is proud to once again support Vaquero Days in Half Moon Bay, an event core to our mission to protect the equestrian history, culture, and economy on the Coastside.
This year’s event is a 2-day affair on Saturday August 15the and 16th in downtown Half Moon Bay.
Saturday's fun is all about the horses and features the Vaquero trail ride to the beach and the parade of horses from Mac Dutra to the Johnston House for the main event. The trail ride will meet up at 10:00 AM and start at 11:00 AM at 110 Higgins Canyon Road (railroad depot) and continue on to the Coastal Trail, Smithfield, then on to the beach and head back to Kelly Street to Mainstreet and the main Plaza at HMB at 2 PM before ending back to Higgins.
Sunday’s festivities will take place in downtown HMB on Kelly Avenue and Mac Dutra and will feature live music, wine tasting, food, vendors, and dancing horses. Fun for the whole family!
Check out last year’s fun…
Vaquero Days typically hosts over 100 horses in the annual ride and parade. Vaquero Days encourages all area equestrians to participate in this event so we can continue to build this event even bigger each year. Wear you best duds and come on down!
