CHC is proud to once again support Vaquero Days in Half Moon Bay, an event core to our mission to protect the equestrian history, culture, and economy on the Coastside.
This year’s event is a 2-day affair on Saturday August 15the and 16th.
Saturday's fun is all about the horses and features the Vaquero trail ride to the beach and the parade of horses from Mac Dutra to the Johnston House for the main event.
8:00 am - Trail riders meet at 110 Higgins Canyon Rd
8:00- 11:00 am - All riders must register with their horses for insurance purposes
11:30 am - Group picture taken
11:45- 12:00 pm - Trail ride begins - Cabalgata
HMB Streets will be blocked off from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The band will play from 2:00 pm at Mac Dutra Plaza.
When riders arrive on Main Street they will perform for 30 minutes and then will parade back to 110 Higgins Canyon Rd to continue the event.
The event ends at 6:00 pm on Saturday
Sunday’s festivities will take place at Johnson House and will feature live music, wine tasting, food, vendors, and dancing horses from noon to 5pm. Fun for the whole family!
Check out last year’s fun…
Vaquero Days is expecting 150-200 horses this year as the event grows in popularity. Vaquero Days encourages all area equestrians to participate so we can continue to build this event even bigger each year. Wear you best duds and come on down!
Parking is by Higgins Canyon for horse trailers and the public.
